Commonwealth Winners 2019

The theme this year for the Commonwealth Essay Competition was “A Connected Commonwealth”. Contestants were required to write about the various ways in which cultural, technological and environmental connections can be utilized to bring about constructive changes across the Commonwealth. The topics instructed young people to focus on the potentials of the Commonwealth to strengthen the numerous links between citizens. Out of 14,000 entrants from 53 Commonwealth countries, there were 32 students from Green Dale International School; they were from both the Junior and Senior categories.

Green Dale International School is proud to announce that 14 out of our 32 participants were awarded GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE awards.

The pool of judges chose one of our junior participants as one of the FINALISTS GOLD AWARDEE. Our school, as well as, the guardians of our students, should consider this a big achievement as only 75 entrants from the Junior Category – which included students from Commonwealth countries across Africa, the Pacific and the Caribbean were awarded the Finalist Gold award.
